Pathways
Youth/Leadership Development and Workforce Advancement
Our Higher Education and Career Pathways Program develops the next generation of conservation, environmental, and community leaders. We educate, empower, and employ 30-80 youth and leaders annually in year-round workforce advancement and youth development. Our long-term relationship-building with youth and leaders is one of our greatest strengths.
Watershed Restoration
South Platte River Environmental Restoration
We work with the SPRAY (South Platte River Advisory Youth) Council to restore the South Platte River to a fishable and swimmable recreation and environmental resource for all people.
We work with our downstream neighbors to build access to clean and wild rivers for all people.
Civic & Community Engagement
There is no job too small. We pick up trash and clean up alleys. There is no job too big. We work with legislators, raise millions of dollars, and work with community leaders to implement a shared vision.
Natural Resource CONSERVATION
Environmental/Social Resilience/Responsibility
We plant trees and build trails. We build environmental and community stewards through our collaborative community based environmental projects. A pillar of our natural resource work is the Lorraine Granado Community Park.
Outdoor Recreation
Building Relationships thru NatureLearning & Experiences
We build relationships to nature through informal STREAM (Science, Technology, River/Resilience, Engineering, Arts, Math) learning and experiences. We protect what we love. In order to love something, we need to be in a relationship. We build relationships with nature through outdoor recreation education and experiences.
Public Health
Urbarn Farming, Agriculture& Community Markets
In partnership with Mo Betta Green Marketplace we employ youth and leaders on three urban farms to grow healthy food and learn about the labor of agriculture. Mo Betta hosts six community dinners and weekly markets as well as two community events on Juneteenth and RGC Day.
